California CDTFA Releases Sales and Use Tax Form CDTFA-245-OYE, Online Filing Exemption Request

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Oct. 1 released Form CDTFA-245-OYE, Online Filing Exemption Request, for sales and use tax purposes. The CDTFA explains: 1) only accounts that make sales at a single location are eligible for an online exemption; 2) the CDTFA’s online filing system now accommodates all types of sales and use tax returns; 3) taxpayers may request a one-year exemption from filing online if it causes hardship; 4) taxpayers will continue to receive paper returns for one year if an exemption is granted and taxpayers will be notified in writing if their request is ...
