The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) updated information on filing dates for sales and use tax returns. The update includes advising taxpayers that: 1) if they initiate a payment on the due date, their transaction must be completed before 12:00 midnight Pacific time to be considered timely; and 2) for electronic funds transfer (EFT) accounts, if they initiate their payment on the due date, their transaction must be completed before 3:00 p.m. Pacific time to be considered timely.
