California Court Upholds Denial of $3 Million Tax Refund Claim

A California couple failed to persuade a state appeals court that they’re entitled to an income tax refund of more than $3.2 million because the statutory deadline they cited doesn’t apply.

Jack Rimokh and Joelle Rimokh alleged the California Franchise Tax Board failed to assess a deficiency for tax years 2008 and 2009 following the IRS’s adjustments to their federal returns for those years.
