California Digital Ad Tax Bill Stalls Under Business Opposition

A California bill levying a 5% tax on digital advertising to fund youth mental health services stalled in the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee Monday.

Committee Chair Jacqui Irwin (D) said she was holding the bill in the committee, but she didn’t comment further. The action means the bill won’t advance this year.
