California Employment Department Releases Income Tax Form DE 4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate

The California Employment Development Department Dec. 1, 2019 released an updated Form DE 4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, along with the worksheets for determination of individual income tax withholding. The form includes: 1) instructions on how to complete the form and claim an exemption from withholding; 2) worksheets on regular withholding allowances, estimated deductions, and additional tax withholding and estimated tax; and 3) tax computation tables.
