California Eyes Matching 10 Years of Federal Tax Changes in 2025

Tax professionals must speak now if they want to increase the chances that California lawmakers enact a bill in 2025 updating state conformity with federal income tax law for the first time in 10 years.

The Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee posted a list on Tuesday of more than 1,000 Internal Revenue Code Provisions, noting whether the state does or doesn’t already conform and making a tentative recommendation about whether the state should do so in 2025.
