The California Franchise Tax Board Feb. 23 announced that the state will provide the Golden State Stimulus payment to qualifying individual income taxpayers, to support low-income state residents and help those facing hardship due to COVID-19. Taxpayers may qualify for this payment if they filed their 2020 taxes and either: 1) receive the California Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or 2) file with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number and make $75,000 or less.
