California FTB Announces Income Tax Relief for Taxpayers Affected by Coronavirus Pandemic, Extends Due Date

The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) March 15 announced individual income and corporate income tax relief for taxpayers affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The relief includes extending the due date to June 15 for taxes including: 1) partnership and LLC tax return and payments originally due March 15; and 2) individual income filing and payments, and quarterly estimated tax payments originally due April 15. The FTB will also waive interest and any late filing or late payment penalties that would otherwise apply.
