California FTB Issues 2021 Instructions for Form FTB 3534, Tax Information Authorization

The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) Dec. 1 issued instructions for Form FTB 3534, Tax Information Authorization (TIA), for corporate income, individual income, and trust income tax purposes. Taxpayers must use the form to authorize the FTB to release confidential tax information that includes estimated payments, notices, account history, or compliance status. To file the form, tax professionals should add a taxpayer as a “TIA Client” in MyFTB for faster processing.
