The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) Jan. 15 issued information on CalFile for corporate income, individual income, and trust income tax purposes. Taxpayers can use CalFile to e-file their state tax returns because it: 1) simplifies the step-by-step process; 2) quickly completes returns and refunds through direct deposit; 3) safely and securely files returns for free; and 4) instantly confirms returns received by the FTB. Taxpayers must have a basic or full access MyFTB account to use CalFile. [Cal. Franchise Tax Bd., CalFile, 01/15/20]
