The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) Sept. 1 published a participation guide for 2022 to provide information on the Interagency Intercept Collection Program for individual income, corporate income, trust income, sales and use, excise, and property tax purposes. The FTB administers the program on behalf of the State Controller’s Office to intercept payments to individuals, such as income tax refunds, Unclaimed Property Division claim payments, or California State Lottery winnings, and transfer these funds to pay the individual’s delinquent debts to government agencies and colleges.
