California FTB Releases Income Tax Form 3519, Payment for Automatic Extension for Individuals

The California Franchise Tax Board Jan. 1 released Form 3519, Payment for Automatic Extension for Individuals, with instructions for individual income tax purposes. Taxpayers must use the form only if they owe the 2019 tax and can’t file their 2019 tax returns by April 15. Taxpayers must remit all their payments electronically once they make an estimate or extension payment exceeding $20,000 or they file an original tax return with a total tax liability over $80,000.
