California Lawmakers Return With Conformity, Pot Taxes on Deck

California has already passed its budget for the year, but the Legislature could still significantly alter tax policy when it returns Monday.

Conformity with federal tax law and levies on cannabis and renewable energy are among areas lawmakers plan to address as the Legislature finishes out the first year of its current two-year term.
