Individuals and businesses who must file 2022 California income tax returns and were affected by hurricanes Idalia and Lee, wildfires in Hawaii, and seawater intrusion in Louisiana have extra time to file, the California Franchise Tax Board said Tuesday.
Taxpayers in the presidentially declared disaster areas tied to those events have until Feb. 15, 2024 to file California returns and make payments that would have been due between Sept. 15, 2023 and Jan. 16, 2024, the FTB said.
