California state senators said they may support a proposal from Gov. Gavin Newsom to more than double funding for the state’s film and television tax credit but are concerned that even with the boost, the industry will come back soon asking for more money.
Members of the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee and the Senate Budget Subcommittee on State Administration echoed sentiments their Assembly counterparts offered three weeks ago that they want to back the state’s signature industry.
