Colorado DOR Announces Individual Income Tax Payment, Filing Deadline Extension Due to COVID-19

The Colorado Department of Revenue March 18 announced the extension of the individual income tax payment and filing deadline. Individuals can pay any 2020 income tax payments due on April 15 by May 17 without penalty or interest. The extension doesn’t apply to: 1) estimated payments for the 2021 income tax year due from individuals and corporations on April 15; and 2) returns and payments for corporate income, trust income, property, excise, and sales and use taxpayers, including income tax for C corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and fiduciaries, and severance tax.
