Colorado Governor Signs Law Changing Process Concerning Property Tax Liens

The Colorado Governor signed a law concerning property tax liens. The law changes the process for holders of a certificate of purchase of a tax lien to obtain a deed to the property. The law also allows overbid amounts for the property to be paid to lienholders and property owners. The law is effective July 1. [H.B. 1056, enacted 05/10/24]
