The Colorado Governor June 3 signed a law concerning the Early Childhood Educator Income Tax Credit for individual income tax purposes. The law includes measures: 1) allowing a credit to early childhood educators of $750 to $1500, annually adjusted for inflation, against the tax imposed for income tax years commencing on or after Jan. 1, 2022, but before Jan. 1, 2026, dependent on the eligible early childhood educator’s credentialing level; 2) providing that each eligible early childhood educator is allowed only one credit per income tax year even if the educator earns a higher level early childhood professional credential in ...
