Colorado Repeals Military Member Affidavit Requirement for Certain Vehicle Tax Rate, Fee Exemption

The Colorado Governor signed a law that includes repealing the requirement that a member of the United States armed forces, serving outside the United States, sign an affidavit to qualify for certain tax rates and fee exemptions applicable to motor vehicles. The law takes effect on the day following the expiration of 90 days after the final adjournment of the general assembly, absent a referendum petition. [H.B. 1200, enacted 04/20/26]
