Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer (D) proposed creating a $10 million film tax credit in a bid to keep pace with other states that have used similar incentives to draw major film and TV productions.
The new credit, unveiled Thursday as part of the governor’s $6.9 billion budget blueprint for fiscal year 2027, comes as states like New Jersey, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia all offer tax credits to shoot in those states. New Jersey recently expanded its incentives.
