The Treasury Department and IRS are working fast to pump out rules for energy tax credits to cement gains from the 2022 tax-and-climate law known as the Inflation Reduction Act, government officials said Saturday.
The agencies have issued 64 pieces of guidance in the two years since the law passed, with a lot more to come, said Treasury Department Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax and Climate Policy Seth Hanlon.
