Farage Faces Inquiry Into £5 Million From Crypto Investor (1)

The UK’s parliamentary standards commissioner launched an inquiry into whether Nigel Farage breached the House of Commons Code of Conduct by failing to declare a £5 million ($6.8 million) gift from Christopher Harborne.

Farage accepted the sum from the Thailand-based British cryptocurrency investor shortly before saying he would stand for a House of Commons seat in the 2024 general election. The Reform UK leader has claimed an exemption from stringent reporting rules, saying it was a private gift to cover his personal security.
