The Florida Governor signed House Bill 7031, updating the state’s corporate income tax code to conform to the United States Internal Revenue Code (IRC) as amended and in effect on Jan. 1, with specific exceptions for certain IRC sections. The bill specifies that sections 168(k), 174(a), 163(j), 274, and 179 are included as amended and in effect on Jan. 1, 2025, while sections 168(n) and 174A are excluded entirely. The amendments operate retroactively to Jan. 1, 2026, and the act takes effect upon becoming law. [H.B. 7031, enacted 06/11/26]
