Florida DOR Amends Estate Tax Regulations on Affidavit of No Tax Due, Public Use Forms

The Florida Department of Revenue Dec. 19 amended regulations on an affidavit relating to No Florida Estate Tax Due and public use forms. The rules include measures: 1) aligning with statutory provisions regarding the requirement for the personal representative of specific estates to file the affidavit of No Florida Estate Tax Due; 2) exempting personal representatives of decedents who died after Jan. 1, 2005, from filing the estate tax affidavit for probate proceedings initiated on or after July 1, 2023, or for probate proceedings pending on that date without a final discharge order; and 3) incorporating revisions to the public ...
