Florida DOR Announces 7.5 Percent Combined Sales Tax for Duval County, Effective Jan. 1, 2021

The Florida Department of Revenue Nov. 23 announced that effective Jan. 1, 2021, the combined state and local sales and use tax rate for Duval County is 7.5 percent. The combined rate is composed of the 6 percent state sales tax, the 0.5 percent charter county and regional transportation system surtax, the 0.5 percent local government infrastructure surtax, and the 0.5 percent school capital outlay surtax.
