Florida DOR Announces Distribution of Funds to Taxing Jurisdictions

The Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) issued an informational bulletin announcing the distribution of $500,000 to taxing jurisdictions in fiscally constrained counties to offset reductions in property tax revenue due to refunds for properties rendered uninhabitable by a catastrophic event. Affected taxing jurisdictions must apply by Oct. 1, 2025, using Form DR-5006, and provide documentation of the tax revenue reduction, to receive a portion of the appropriated funds. [Fla.
