The Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a Technical Assistance Advisement (TAA) stating that a transfer of member interest in a limited liability company (LLC) that owns Florida real property acquired in 2021 is not subject to Florida’s documentary stamp tax. Additionally, a subsequent deed transferring the unencumbered Florida real property from the LLC to an individual without consideration is also not subject to the documentary stamp tax. [Fla.
