The Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) June 21 issued information on the back-to-school sales tax holiday beginning July 29 through Aug. 11. The information includes: 1) tax-exempt items; 2) items subject to sale and use tax; 3) guidelines for businesses during the sales tax holiday; and 4) the option for qualified businesses to choose not to participate in the tax holiday if they meet certain criteria.
