Florida DOR Issues Publication on 2020 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday

The Florida Department of Revenue June 24 issued a tax information publication on the 2020 back-to-school sales tax holiday from Aug. 7 to Aug. 9. During the sales tax holiday period, sales of certain clothing, school supplies, and computer-related accessories are exempt from sales and use tax. The sales tax holiday doesn’t apply to: 1) items of clothing selling for more than $60; 2) school supply items selling for more than $15; 3) rentals, leases, repairs, or alterations services of any eligible items; 4) sales of eligible items in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment, or airport; and ...
