Florida DOR Proposes Amendments to Rules Governing taxes on Motor Vehicle Natural Gas Fuel

The Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) proposed amendments to regulations governing taxes on natural gas fuel placed into the tank of a motor vehicle. The proposed rules include: 1) refunds of taxes paid on natural gas fuel used for certain purposes; 2) instructions to pay the taxes and file tax returns on natural gas fuel by electronic means; 3) instructions for consolidated filing for all locations; and 4) amendments to the application to obtain a fuel tax license and the annual license renewal application.
