Florida DOR Releases Sales Tax Form DR-1FA, Application for Certificate of Forwarding Agent Address

The Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 1 released Form DR-1FA, Application for a Florida Certificate of Forwarding Agent Address, for sales and use tax purposes. Forwarding agents engaged in international export may apply to the DOR to obtain the certificate. Dealers selling tangible property tax exempt for international export, accepting a valid copy of the certificate in good faith, relying upon the designated forwarding agent address list on the DOR’s website, and shipping the purchased items to the address on the certificate aren’t liable for any tax due on sales made during the certificate’s effective period.
