Florida Enacts Law Amending Land Use, Development Regulations

The Florida Governor signed a law amending land use and development regulations, to require development permit fees to reasonably relate to actual costs, establish compatibility assessment requirements for residential zoning, and expand provisions for manufactured housing and off-site constructed residential dwellings. The law includes prohibiting local governments from denying building permits for certain manufactured buildings, and requiring uniform enforcement of regulations across housing types.
