Florida Governor Issues Executive Order Expanding IFTA, IRP Licensing Requirement Suspension Due to Hurricane Nicole

The Florida Governor Nov. 10 issued an executive order amending Executive Order 22-253, which suspended licensing and registration requirements under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and International Registration Plan (IRP) in 34 counties, for excise tax purposes. Due to Hurricane Nicole, the order expands the state of emergency statewide and includes a measure authorizing the executive director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to suspend the enforcement of the motor vehicle licensing and registration requirements under the IFTA and the IRP for motor carriers or drivers operating commercial motor vehicles properly registered in other jurisdictions and ...
