Georgia taxpayers will be treated to a 60-day gasoline tax holiday as energy prices continue to spike, under legislation Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed into law Friday.
The governor also approved legislation aligning Georgia’s tax code to President Donald Trump’s signature 2025 tax and spending law. And he signed off on income tax rebate checks worth $1.2 billion collectively.
“Because we budget conservatively, we can take steps like these that actually deliver on affordability issues for families in our state,” Kemp said in a statement.
