Georgia Authorizes Hancock County to Levy 8 Percent Hotel Excise Tax

The Georgia Governor signed a law authorizing the governing authority of Hancock County to levy an excise tax at a rate not to exceed 8 percent on charges for rooms, lodgings, or accommodations furnished by hotels, motels, and similar establishments.
