The Georgia Governor signs a law amending the state income tax rates. The law reduces the tax rate from 5.39 percent to 5.19 percent, for tax years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2025, provided that the rate will decrease by 0.10 percent annually, beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2026, until the rate reaches 4.99 percent.
