The Georgia Governor May 7 signed a law concerning information by joint authorities determining the impact on associated tax digests for property tax purposes. The law includes measures: 1) requiring joint authorities to furnish certain information necessary for the state revenue commissioner or the state auditor to determine the net impact of their activities on associated tax digests; 2) requiring the use of net impact to determine equalized adjusted property tax digests; 3) repealing conflicting laws; and 4) making technical changes.
