Georgia Governor Signs Law Providing Homestead Property Tax Exemption for Hall County

The Georgia Governor May 6 signed a law providing a homestead exemption from Hall County ad valorem taxes for country purposes. The law provides: 1) an exemption in an amount equal to the amount by which the current year assessed value of the homestead exceeds its adjusted base year assessed value; and 2) that the exemption applies to all taxable years beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
