Georgia Governor Signs Law Providing Homestead Tax Exemption for Augusta-Richmond County

The Georgia Governor signed a law providing a homestead exemption from Augusta-Richmond County ad valorem property taxes. The exemption subtracts a home’s base year assessed value from the current year assessed value, up to the total assessed value of the previous adjusted base year value multiplied by 3.2 percent.
