The Georgia Governor signed a law providing a new charter for the City of Fayetteville, including provisions governing municipal taxation, fees, franchises, special assessments, bonds, budgeting, and delinquent revenue collection. The law authorizes the city to levy ad valorem taxes, occupation and business taxes, regulatory fees, and service charges. The law takes effect July 1. [H.B. 877, enacted 05/12/26]
