GOP’s Sliwa Stays Upbeat With 40-Point Deficit in NYC Mayor Poll

Republican mayoral hopeful Curtis Sliwa, facing a 40-point lead by Democrat Eric Adams, said he still sees a path toward victory in New York City’s general election next week.

Although Democrats outnumber Republicans in the city by 7-to-1, Sliwa said he’s appealed to many of the city’s independent voters with his tough-on-crime campaign and promises to make the city property tax more equitable.
