House GOP to Delay Votes on Ag-FDA, Financial Services Bills

The House won’t vote on bills to fund the Food and Drug Administration, the Agriculture Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other areas of the government for fiscal 2025 this week, two sources familiar with the discussions told Bloomberg Government.

• House leadership won’t schedule votes for now on Ag-FDA (H.R. 9027), Financial Services (H.R. 8773) FY2025 bills
• Republicans concerned they lack support to pass the bills, the sources said, but are trying to work through issues
• Comes as GOP tries to pass full slate of appropriations bills
