The Idaho Tax Commission April 11 announced an automatic six-month extension for taxpayers who cannot file their income tax return by the April 15 deadline. To qualify for the extension, taxpayers must pay either 80 percent of their estimated tax liability for 2023 or 100 percent of the total tax reported on their 2022 income tax return.
