The Idaho Tax Commission Oct. 1 announced that the extended deadline for filing 2023 Idaho income tax returns for taxpayers who qualified for an automatic extension is Oct. 15. The announcement stated that while an extension allows taxpayers to avoid a late filing penalty, they will still owe 6 percent interest on any unpaid tax due from the original April 15 deadline.
