Idaho Tax Commission Announces Parental Choice Tax Credit Program

The Idaho State Tax Commission Published a press release containing information on the new Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit program. The program provides $50 million for eligible nonpublic school expenses for Idaho K-12 and disabled students up to age 21, and allows parents to apply for a tax credit of up to $5,000 per student, and up to $7,500 for disabled students. Parents can apply for the credit from January 15 to March 15, 2026, with priority given to lower-income families. [Idaho State Tax Comm’n, Press Release, 07/02/25]
