Illinois DOR Announces Changes to Motor Fuel Tax Rates

The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) April 1 announced changes to the motor fuel tax rates, effective from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. The announcement includes the following new rates: 1) 54.5 cents per gallon for diesel; 2) 47.0 cents per gallon for gasoline; 3) 54.5 cents per diesel gallon equivalent for liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas; and 4) 47.0 cents per gasoline gallon equivalent for compressed natural gas.
