The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) published Informational Bulletin containing a list of Municipalities and Counties that will be implementing a new 1 percent Grocery Occupation Tax effective July 1. The bulletin also informs retailers that if the local grocery tax is implemented by both the municipality and the county where sales are made, the grocery tax rate will still be 1 percent. [Ill.
