The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) published an informational bulletin announcing simplified municipal telecommunications tax rate changes for Carlyle City and Danvers Village. Effective July 1, the municipalities of Carlyle and Danvers will impose new local telecommunications tax rates of 5.00 percent and 6.00 percent respectively, which when combined with the existing State Telecommunications Excise Tax rate of 8.65 percent, will result in total combined rates of 13.65 percent for Carlyle and 14.65 percent for Danvers.
