Illinois DOR Issues Guidance on Income Tax Withholding for Household Employees

The Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) July 1 issued guidance on how to report and pay Illinois income tax withheld from household employees. The guidance specifies that Form IL-1040 or Form IL-941 should be used to report the withholding and Form IL-501 for payment, while also noting that Form UI-WIT is no longer acceptable for reporting.
