The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) announced the 2026 Remote Retailer Tax Amnesty Program, effective Aug. 1, through Oct. 31, 2026. The program applies to remote retailers with no physical presence in Illinois that have outstanding Retailers’ Occupation Tax liabilities for sales made between Jan. 1, 2021, and June 30, 2026, and that meet specified tax remittance thresholds based on annual gross receipts and transaction volume.
